Just saw another query that has made me think about this - am I able to do on online self assessment for husband who also started taking annuity in September 2008 - if not - eeeek better get a move on!!

You're best off ringing the Tax Helpline (as I did) to double check. I guess this catches a lot of people out - it nearly caught me out a couple of years ago.0
