I know that I don't have enough money to pay my bills, but I have to spend 50 quid a month on Sky because "it's my only luxury".

LOL I was going to post "Pass the Sky remote" but last time I commented on Sky subscribers (or more to the point, the tight grip that Sky has on its users.. to the extent that they say things like "life wouldn't be worth living without Sky") I got shouted at. :)

The interest rate on my mortgage might be a bit on the high side but at least my bank is not going to go bust overnight.

Going on some statistics I saw recently many people would still be paying for this long after the marriage is over!

    PS hope yours lasts though......

I didn't see one like this, so here goes.

'With the housing market rising and so high it isn't worth saving for a deposit. It's a 100% (or more!) mortgage for me!'

p.s. how many of the gems on this thread have you uttered in the past? Come on, confession time!

my OH comes out with some classics:

"I forgot to pay my credit card bill so I got charged £25, my own fault though..."
"I don't mind paying more to shop in Waitrose because the people who shop there are just so much nicer"
"I would rather waste food than run out"

You should have seen his face when I told him the meal I had just cooked for him had been sourced entirely from Lidl....
