I was just browsing through avforums.com and came across a member of the board who has just had (EDIT: 26" version) delivered from Costco for £589 inc. vat and 3-year guarantee (2nd link below). Of course you have to be a member of Costco to buy this TV.

I just reported on the other person getting it, i was about to call Costco to confirm

EDIT: They said £822.48, so i dont know how 'Such' got it for £590

Still not a bad price. Maybe it was a price error.

I reckon the £588 is for the 26". I have just bought the 26 from ajelectronics excellent set for £609, they do the 32" for £780.

I just called Costco in Edinburgh and this unit is estimated for delivery 1st June at a price of £699 plus VAT which brings it to £822

They says it's NEVER been as low as under £600.

They couldn't tell me if the 26" was any different as I don't think they've stocked it.

I hope this helps everyone helps from getting too excited. I nearly ended myself as I was bombed out by Freemans. Hey ho, maybe someone else will mess up the pricing and we'll get it cheap.

So the delivery price is included price? They use the in-house courier firm?

Not sure if this particular model of Samsung exhibits the same problem, BUT .......

I suggest anyone considering one of these does a Google for "Samsung" and "green flash"

There are several threads on avforums.com about it.

Loads of people have seen it, had TVs replaced, tuners and other bits swapped but still it persisits.

Apparently it only happens when using the in-built digital Freewiew receiver.

OK on analogue tuning and anything played through the SCART (DVD etc.) including an EXTERNAL FREEVIEW Tuner.

So "BEWARE" or at least "BE AWARE" !
