LG washing machines - recommendation?

Hi
We are considering buying an LG washing machine mainly because they are said to be very quiet and not to vibrate as much as normal washing machines. Also they have a 10 year guarantee.
Please does anyone have one and if so please can you say whether it moves about/vibrates as much as a normal machine, what the performance is like and whether you would recommend it?
Many thanks in advance.

My mother has had an LG direct drive washing machine for a couple of years, and is very happy with it. It is quieter than all her previous washing machines and the wash times are very good. The only complaint would be that it can be difficult sometimes to get a large single item (ie, rag rug or mattress protector) to spin as the machine considers it to be an "uneven load."
On the whole we'd highly recommend a LG washing machine.0 -
I've had a Zanussi wshing machine for 19 years now. And that's with a family of two adults and three children.
The only thing that has ever gone wrong with it was the drain pump that I replaced at a cost of £30 each time. The reason the drain pump failed was because I used to work in an electroplating factory, and I used to end up with thin strands of plastic film from the sheet aluminium all over my clothes. These used to get caught round the pump.
Also check the details of the 10 year guarantee. You may find that it is only fully guaranteed for the first year, then after that it is on a sliding scale.
So if I were you I would find out if Zanussi also do a very quiet washing machine.0 -
I had two LG machines, both lasted max 4 years
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0
