Hi all
I was discharged last week from br however last year I entered into an IPA which after consultation initiallly with MOONEEVER I stopped paying as I was off work with a long term illlness from which I am still off.Ihad a letter this week however after my discharge asking me my income and expenditure now I am still off work. Can they still make me pay if they want to even though we are on a low income as that is what did before and what happens if I don't pay because I can't.

It depends on hows the letter was worded when you stopped paying. If your IPA was suspended then yes they can, the IPA runs for 36 months whether or not you are paying. So your clock is still ticking and anytime within the 36 months that your circumstances change again you will have to inform then and make the remaining payments.

However, if your letter said the IPA was dissolved it should have ended.

It does not say either it says:We have been informed by MoonBeever that you are off work sick and cannot afford to pay the IPA. Is this still the case and could you fill in an Income and Expenditure form so as we can re-assess if you have to pay towards an IPA.
