Sorry, I don't eat meat and haven't for 25 years if not longer [I stopped counting at a quarter of a century]...perhaps it would be better to ask in the context of what meals the quorn is in as there are many alternatives but they depend on the meal.
Veggiemince is the best on the market, but quorn is a product that is trademarked and substitutes are generally Bleugh.0 -
Asda have had quite a few quorn products at £1 this last few days. The wife has started slimming world and she's stocked up on them.If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.0

are there any cheaper alternates to quorn? seems to be a bit of a niche
Farmfoods and some other places have the Grassingtons range - not as massive as Quorn but the 'meatballs' are nice with pasta/tomato sauce and they do packs of 2 fillets either peppered beef style or chicken in tomato sauce style - last time I was in Farmfoods they were 69p a pack or £1 for 2 packs. I think Grassingtons do other veggie items too?
I tend to use those, veggie mince and Frys from the health stores as dont have quorn as Its not vegan (would use it if they ever get round to removing the egg from it!)Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Yes but the OP asked for QUORN products - other meat free products aren't often 'free foods' on Slimming World!
OP I often find I have to shop around for deals on quorn - no one place is cheapest - and certain places only stock certain quorn items. My tesco is the only one that stocks the 'meatballs' and my sainsbury's is the only one that has the 'bacon'. You'll learn to stock up when you see it on offer but the mince and the chunks are the ones you'll use the most.0 -
Sainsburys have a better price on the frozen Quorn Sausages then Tesco- an 8 pack is £1.89 (instead of £1.99). Sainsburys also have two for £3 on Quorn frankfurters and Sausage rolls in the fresh section.
Tescos have the offers mentioned above (aside from the frozen mince one which was on about a month ago). The peppered steaks are very nice, but very spicy! Would be suprized if the escalopes are "free food" as they are covered in a batter bread crumb (calorific) thing.0 -

I agree! You can scrape some of the pepper off the top which makes them less so - but I never do!0 -
You can buy dried soya or TVP mince and chunks in health food shops. (I've seen the dried mince in Tesco next to the polish/indian/free from type stuff in my local store too). Its usually pretty cheap for the amount it will make. I use the mince version in chilli for example - just add a wee bit more liquid as it soaks it up when rehydrating.are there any cheaper alternates to quorn? seems to be a bit of a niche
Not sure exactly how it fits with Slimming world diets as I've not tried them but I imagine it would be fine... Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!
