Unsecured Loan Required

I have a loan with Barclays but the repayments are very high. I want to obtain another loan to pay off the Barclays loan.

My problem is that Barclays will not provide me with a new loan. I have also tried the cooperative bank who have also said no.

I have checked my credit rating which shows as Good with a score of 438 / 475 and this shows that I have an above average credit rating compared to others in the UK.

I missed a payment on a credit account about four months ago due to an error but otherwise my credit is okay.

I would welcome any advice anyone may have in regard to where I might be able to get a loan for between £17 - £20k.

The problem you're going to find is that you're essentially asking for £20,000 on top of what you have already - which I assume is around £20,000.

Unless you're earning somewhere in the region of £120,000 a year I would imagine banks are going to look at this as being over subscribed when it comes to credit.
