magazine subscriptions with tescos clubcard help please?

want to get dh a mag sub for xmas but im alittle confused never done it before!

i have £8 in clubcard points and you get 4x that amount right???
so that would mean in rewards points i have £32 is that correct???

if the above is right and the magazine i want to subscribe to is £18 does that mean that i will be left with £14 in rewards tokens
or that i am £10 short for the magazine!

i cant find find anything on the site that tells me if the price is before or after the points have been turned to rewards

the sites playing up for me atm so cant add to the basket and see if it goes through or not!!

I have just sent away for 2 subscriptions for my in laws for the second year running as they loved it when I gave it to them last year. On the tesco clubcard deal website in the magazine section, it will tell you the magazine and at the side it will say "£... in clubcard vouchers will give you.." on a picture of a voucher, that is the voucher value, iyswim? that is the amount of voucher that you need. So if it says £18 in vouchers that means you need to have vouchers in the house to the value of £18 or more.

I had a £8.50, a £6.50 and a couple of £5 ones I think, if it doesn't come exactly to £18 don't worry, they will credit your account with the change.

I do it online, you put the magazines you want in your basket and at the checkout it will ask you for the code on the vouchers. On the voucher there is printed: online code, that is what you type in and you can add as many until you are up to the value that you need or just over. It will calculate it all for you.

A few days later you get a form in the post and the Tesco magazine voucher for the publications that you asked for. You need to complete them with the name of the person where you want it to get sent to and it also asks for your name.

You then sent the completed form and Tesco magazine voucher back to the publication (address on the form). They will send you a confirmation of your order and when the magazine subscription will start.

It is quite easy really, I might not have explained it very well, if you have more questions just let me know.

i dont think i have any vouchers in house i am waiting for my november ones to arrive.
just to get this right i have to wait forthe paper vouchers to reach me and then use the code off them to do it?

You get your 4x that amount because the subscription that you'll get for £8.00 in Clubcard points would cost you £32.00 in cash
if you got it direct from the magazine.

I did this for the first time only last month. You'll be fine if you follow mumoftwo's directions.

Yes, you need your vouchers to come through the door with your statement and then go to order online.

I forgot to say that the recipient will also get notice that this magazine was gifted to them, not sure if they say your name or not and also if you have £9 in a voucher and the subscription is only £8 they will credit the rest back to your clubcard.

thanks for your help..... but im still quite confused! im having one of them days!

so i have £8.50 (i just checked) that will be coming in my next statement. so does that mean i can get mag subscriptions to the value of £8.50
or
i can get subscription to the value of £34

i thought it was to the value of £34 but i just found a voucher for £1 in my drawer and entered it in the checkout (to make sure i understood) and it said i still had to enter codes to the value of £17. i thought this would take it down to £14 worth of vouchers to be added????

so basically when my statement comes does the voucher have to be £18 to get the magazine or can i get it with my £8.50

god, its getting late and im really not getting my head around this lol!

he knows hes getting the subscription so doesnt matter if it says his name on it

If you have £8.50 in vouchers you will be able to choose a magazine subscription to the value of £8.50. Whatever the magazine is listed as costing on the Tesco's website is what you will need to have in clubcard points.

No you can't get it if you only £8.50. You need £18 in vouchers.
