Just rung my local store, which opens 24 hours. Very nice lady who answered said toy sale starts at 8.00 am on THURSDAY.

just rang my sainsburys and lovely lady on customer services didn't know anything about it,she said there was no activity around the toy area and no signs up.
She said wednesday would tie in with all the grocerys offers as they always change on a wedndesday.
  • I am so upset the toy sale is during half term!
Any ideas how many days it will last?

Hi guys. This has been running for a couple of years now! Just to let you know it is NOT ONILINE. it is definately instore only!!! I think the site would just go crazy otherwise!!!! Me and hubby are going down tonight writing down what we want then tomorrow im going early and just getting al we need for my two childrens Christmas as i've done everyone else!!! I'm like a little kid waiting forChristmas!

Just remembered of course sainsburys this year have updated their whole system and now sel toys online so its a huge possibility!! hopefully they will cope better than boots if they do!! X

Do you have inside info, how do you know its not online? I know it hasn't been in previous years but they do sell toys on their website now. Just letting people know that it MAYBE online but definitely instore!!!

    Hi everyone,

I just phoned the contact number online and got put through to the customer care line to ask when the sale starts and whether it will be online. The lady said she had just been given some information about the toy sale that stated it would start in Thursday in store and would not be online.

I hope this is accurate as many other posters have been told it would start Wednesday. She said the email she had been sent from HQ definitely said it started in all stores Thursday.

I am thinking of going to my local on Wednesday anyway to check and do a list there of what my little ones might like and then going back Thursday if needs be to buy it! It's a pain though as husband is going to have to go into work late both mornings so I don't have to take kids with me. Still, if I can get some Peppa Pig and Fifi stuff half price will be worth it - this Xmas is going to have to be our cheapest one ever!!

HTH xxx (please don't blame me if info is inaccurate - I am only quoting Sainsbury's staff!!)
