tesco vouchers - goldsmiths

Hi - can anyone please give me some advise - I converted a load of tesco codes into goldsmith vouchers and bought my mother in law a watch for her birthday - however its doesnt suit her - she has been back into goldsmiths to have a look to see if she can find something else - but there wasnt anything that caught her eye. The assistant in goldsmiths said that their stock changed weekly - so she should come back in, in a few weeks.

My question is - because I paid for the item with vouchers - if I returned it - would they recredit my tesco points with the vouchers - or issue vouchers for their shop - ie Goldsmith voucher.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

depends on how clued up the assistant is. they might not realise you paid with vouchers and just give you the cash, or you would get goldsmiths vouchers. you cant recredit the tesco points

Hi Flea72 - thanks - goldsmith vouchers would be fine - its just that if they recredit the tesco points - I am going to end up giving my mother in law cash and as the tesco deals and 4 times the value - I would end up seriously out of pocket.
    thanks for the advice

Does Goldsmith voucher has an expiry date? We are getting married next summer and we are looking to buy our wedding rings and we have saved £87.5 in tesco vouchers (£350 in deals).

All of the deal vouchers have a six month expiry date from date of issue. :)

We did the same for our wedding rings.

I've just received £520 of tesco deal goldsmiths vouchers today which we're going to use to buy our wedding rings - glad we're not the only ones. I've been saving up my clubcard vouchers for 2 years and we didn't know what to get and then decided on the wedding rings so used loads of extra points vouchers at the end of April so I'd increase the value of vouchers I got.

We're off to buy them tomorrow, my mum's highly sceptical that it'll work but then she never goes to tescos so doesn't know about deals!

    I love Tescos

No - but the Tesco deal vouchers aren't valid on sale items, if that was your plan. :o

Why not buy something outside the sale then return it for store vouchers and in turn use these in the sale ?

Do you definitely receive Goldsmith vouchers when you return something? I wanted to buy a particular watch with Tesco Vouchers but just found the no sale items clause. Might be tempted to try and buy something else then return it if they will give vouchers.
    Thanks

I bought a washing machine from MFI through Clubcard Deals vouchers, when it came to delivery (we asked to delay for a month whilst we moved house) the washer was no longer a stock item.

MFI were pretty good about it, the nearest alternative was £100 cheaper, so they credited the delivery fee (£19) to my credit card - which was how I originally paid for it - and returned the £100 difference back to my Clubcard (£25).

If Goldsmiths are anything like this, the value will go back on your Clubcard (ok, not what you wanted, but I suspect they will be clued up).

And if you do get store vouchers without your name on, PM me!

    Cheers
