Creditors missing off credit file !

My husband is writing to his creditors for them to update his credit file as he has now been discharged a month ago. when he checked his credt files some of the creditors are missing, Intelligent finance overdraft and credit card and Barclaycard and Barclays loan. They are nowhere to be seen, why would this be, they were on his creditors list. Do we still write to them and give them the details of his discharge or do they sometimes just wipe it off.

Also Orange have still not registered a default date, it showed 5 months late and then for the past 3 months says up to date. Any advice on that one.

Whilst I cannot offer advice...especially since you are far ahead of me anyways...but I do note that Orange can really get their accounting knickers in a knot at times...

Do equifax and experian list the same creditors. If the missing creditors are not on equifax may they be on experian

I have requested copies of my credit file from, Equifax, Experian and Callcredit, I was told to do this to ensure I have covered all bases with credit reference firms.

i had the same problem when i requested my credit file nothing is showing not even my BR order ... soi wil wait few month before re requesting it to see if ti has been updated ....

If the creditor does not exist on the credit file report, the intelligent finance overdrafts had been from years ago and barclaycard credit card also, can they put them on the credit file now or will they not be allowed.

Does anyone know the address for the data controller of citifinancial Europe plc. Also prob a daft question but is the bank of scotland the same as royal bank of scotland.

Barclays, and Amex too, remove all their data from your credit file once you go BR and the account is closed. It's nothing to worry about and they won't be put back on.

When I did my clean up after discharge Amex actually wrote back telling me this is what they would do Barclaycard just did it.

Bank of scotland is part of the HBOS group (Halifax bank of scotland group) Which in turn became part of the Lloyds banking group during the the credit crunch. Royal Bank of scotland is its own banking group which most notably contains Natwest as well

thanks for the info, not complaining but why do barclays and barclaycard remove the debt off someones credit report, surely they want to affect your credit file as much as possible.

Does anybody know the data controller address for the bank of scotland.
