Defaults in credit file

Hi I have recently discharged from Bankcrupcy and am nowing trying clean up my credit file alittle,

1. I have 3 defaults still sitting on my account that were included in the order, is the lender entitled to keep them on,if so how long for?

2. I have a court judgement on my file given 2 days before bankcrupcy judgement under the 'public record information' section of my credit file...can this be removed and if not how long this stay on my file?

any advice please would be great
thanks
Julian

Defaults stay, but should be marked some way to show that they are now settled. Plus should be dated NO LATER than the BR date. They drop off 6 years after that.

CCJ stays for 6 years on the CRF from the judgement date. You can ask the court to mark it as satisfied, but the creditor does not have to agree to that. So may not be able to. Even still, falls off the CRFs after six years, so will be gone by the time the BR order is. ;)

Cheers for that so if I'm correct then in 5 years when it all drops of my credit rating should shoot up.... current at 624 score or is it not that simple?
    thanks

    Not that simple.

Simply having no recordable credit history for the past six years is in itself something that they are wary of. Understandable I suppose?

So may be worth trying to get some basic credit like mobile phone, sub prime card, PAYG builder card, etc......

Bearing in mind that application searches stay for 1-2 years, and can effect score. Not a prob while the BR order still shows, but after maybe.

Sorry to hijack but I've checked my credit record and I've got 5 judgments on my file all dated after my BR, can I asked for these to be removed as all where included in the BR?
    Thanks

yeah already started work on rebuiding credit managed to keep my Lloyds account open!!! no idea how but checked with bank manager and they are happy to keep it open...

also got Vanquis credit card to purely put my works expenses about £40 a time not worth doing any more because of rip rates on the card then I pay back when credited from my employees(never gonna fall into that trap again).

Also opened the Halifax saving account which I did intend to use for DD's and wages etc
