According to the Brother site the 115C doesnt and the 310CN does, the RRP is 50 difference. However I find it a bit strange that argos could have invented the 115cn so MAYBE the 115 that you get from argos is network ready. I know Currys have been known to have products made for them that are ever so slightly different than the ones on general retail sale, so maybe argos have done the same.

I've returned mine. Didn't actually open the box, but reckon its unlikely to have a built in nic. They checked another local store for me but they were also 115C. I've reserved at yet another local store, although likely to stick with the USB only if no joy as it is a good price, although would have prefered it networkable.

The one I got this morning is the DCP-310CN and its network ready have just checked on the box. So I must have been lucky to get that one.

what has happened is that argos have run out of the original model and are subsituting in a different (and by the sound of it better) model while they wait for the original one to come into stock from brother. The details on the web are for the DCP-115 which some stores will have and others will have the subsitute. It's always very hit and miss when seacrhing for subs, best thing is to smile and ask nicely for a customer view to see which model they do have

I got my DCP-310CN from Leeds Albion Street.
  • I picked up mine this afternoon and I got the DCP-115C not the DCP-310CN (or the DCP-115C*N* either!)

Is the only difference the network capabilities? I can live without them if that's all. I've looked at Brother's website but they don't list the 310CN, only a 315CN - according to one e-tailer they were discontinued) But, from what I can see (of the the 315, the 310's replacement model) they have exactly the same features as the 115 except for the network.

All these numbers and substitutions, it gets so confusing!
