Derby court

If I was to Petition for my own bankruptcy in Derby court would I be made bankrupt the same day I decided to go or am I better to phone up and ask also do you know if you can pay your bankruptcy fees in cash at Derby's combined court.

Thanks

You will need to phone in advance to find out what system they operate, some you take your forms in before the hearing day and some it all happens the same day. If it's the former you may still have to pay when the forms are taken in and not the day of the hearing, that's how it was at the court I attended.

Most courts prefer cash anyway so this shouldn't be a problem.

I went br in Derby,i phoned up had forms sent then you just go in on one of the morning they do br. They were all really nice and helpful. We paid cash and never saw the judge.Although i was very concerned about going to court it really was very straight forward.
