Costco Christmas Turkeys - when do they stock?

Does anyone know when Costco get their Christmas turkeys in?

I normally buy from my local butcher but wasn't impressed last year at having to spend ages plucking the leftover bits that hold the feathers in and I've no intentions of going anywhere near an M&S foodhall in December.

It doesn't matter how early it is, I'm going to cook it and freeze it ahead of time, I don't carve it at the table anyway so no one will know and it will be hassle free then :D

Was at Derby Costco yesterday and I am pretty sure they had frozen ones in the the freezer.
  • Phoned Glasgow earlier oday - they received the first batch of fresh Turkey Crowns today (19 in total) but no complete Turkeys as yet. The very helpful lady said they would come in dribs and drabs throughout November with the volumes really ramping up the week of Thanksgiving.

So I'll plan to pick mine up w/c 30th Nov I think.

  • Costco at Reading have the fresh Turkey Crowns in all year round, only a display of about half a dozen tho. Last year was the first time I'd bought one from Costco.....it was the nicest one we'd ever had! Will definitely be getting another this year.
