Offers of loans unwanted

Hi I have had several phonecalls from loan companys saying that in answer to my interest they can arrange a loan for me. I have not applied for a credit card or loan altho these companys say that I have expressed interest and are happy to go ahead with the loan. Are they just cold calling or should i be concerned that someone is applying in my name? I have filled out a routine survey online for a supermarket but these companies seem to think that I have been on their websites? any advice please.

Ignore them they're just trying to see if your a real person, then they bombard you with all sorts.
  • its an old tele sales trick to say they are contacting you because you have shown an interest or requested details, just ignore them, and perhaps register with TPS to cut down some of the calls
  • Thankyou, just needed a bit of reassurance really. you hear so much in the news of identity theft i started to worry.

Online Surveys are a guaranteed method of ensuring you will continue to receive masses of spam, be it via email, post of phone.

Staggers me why anyone fills them out, or if they do, why they put their genuine details on the forms.... madness!!!

You could register with the TPS to avoid the UK based Cold callers. It won't stop the hassle after you have filled out online surveys though.
