  • Dunno about CSA1 but on CSA2 it is definately the case. The PWC is entitled to this so that they are in full possession of the facts in regard to the decision and can subsequently challenge the decision under appeal if they believe the assessment calculation is incorrect, as the assessment is based upon net earnings of the NRP coupled with other factors. Without knowing the NRP's net income they would not be able to check the calculation figures and be satisfied they are correct, whereas the NRP will be.

I think only a PWC on the CSA2 system will be able to confirm, however on the CSA2 model, it would not be difficult to calculate anways, if a NRP is not self employed then it would be hard to hide the regular income, so there is nowt for the PWC to check .
  • ok i can see why pwc gets the details to check, but why dont nrp get pwc details???

I am (or was) on CSA1 and can confirm that we are given the income that is used to calculate the assessement.

Reason being is that it has to be seen how the assessment figure came about.

The PWC income very rarely comes into it hence why it is not shown to NRP - unless they are on a high wage which makes them ineligible for WTC and in that case the income would be shown.

This is for CSA1 though...on CSA2 it doesn't make a jot of difference of PWC salary as it's a straight % of NRP income.
