Can't find a DS for my DS anywhere!

I've been trying for two months now to get my son a Nintendo DS with his birthday money. He wants the following package:

5679508 DS Blue and Labrador Nintendogs
5678688 Nintendo DS Accessories Kit
5678530 Super Mario - DS

Every shop I've tried near me (Liverpool) does not have the DS Blue and Labrador Nintendogs in stock.

Anyone know if I'm missing something? I've long since spent my poor son's money, thinking that I'd be able to use up my nectar points to buy it, so I really need to try and get it from Argos!

He'll def. want the DS lite instead - the original DS is a fairly bulky unit & of course the lite will be in fashion and the original won't

2 good places for the DS Lite are Amazon.co.uk, and DVD Crave (to import from Australia). Amazon will let you pre-order the black one...

Do any argos workers have any info on why it's never in stock??

ebay has some very good deals on these. I bought and sold them for quite a while and i was gutted how cheap mine sold for in the end so id look there!
Also i would forget the accessory kit as you get all you need with it.

Well they are bringing out Nintendogs Dalmations soon

So I guess before long they'll be doing the Lite with the game mentioned above for around £99.99

No point in buying technology which will drop in price very quickly once the new model is out

Yes it's a very very very very popular item with low supplies from nintendo. If you ask in your nearest store for them to check their local area on their tills. If they can't find any / you don't want to go that far then get them to phone up stores support on the phones, if they press "1" then they can give you a rough date (might be a couple months though!)

My best friend is after the blue DS too. I was told on Saturday that there have been no new supplies of the blue one since christmas to any retailer.
