Halfway through BR!

I am now six months into my BR :j
For anyone hesitating to do it I will say I have not regretted it for a minute. It has not been easy by any means but my life is so stress free compared to how I lived for years. I only wish I had done it earlier. So pleasant not to dread the phone ringing or the knock on the door

Oh just some little things. They closed my little girl's savings account and took her £25. Also I was worried when I had to declare my BR on a job application (unfounded as I still got the job). Also having to move in with my mum which has gone unexpectedly well
All in all I wish I had done it three years ago when I split with my ex. The years of futile struggling to make ends meet and pay off bills. Being BR is so much better than that.0 -
sus not that hard then , glad its going well for you roll on for ED good luck0

I was called by three of my creditors today and for the first time since August I was able to answer the phone instead of my poor anawering machine which I think will need anabolic steroids to keep it going as it has been worked into overdrive just lately.
I was surprised how flumoxed some of the call centre advisors were when I told them I had gone BR.
In any case it's a good feeling once they taked their notes and say they will update the records to ensure I'm not called anymore. (though that did sound a tad ambitious) Will have to wait and see:rolleyes:There used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.0 -
Hmm poor creditors sometimes dont quite know what to do...I made 02 into a little game when they called "oh hang on" put the phone down and walk off to do womething else....over an hour one CS person held!We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

It happened to me twice. Such a great feeling to halt them during their script and say 'I am BR. Would you like my BR ref number and date of BR?' They become so pleasant after that0 -
I am just going into br and panicing about banking we were advised to open a new bank accounting with someone we did not owe money too. So opened an account with coop cash card and cheque book not that i need cheque book and no over draft and had been told this was safe as my wages are being paid into it. Worrying now as from what i have read to day not so sure this is the case - do i need to close this account and opne another one with them and arrange for wages to be paid in alternative way?0

I assume this is not the Casminder account?:pB&SC No. 298
