Northern rock, Deal's for existing customers

Hi

I spoke to Northern Rock this morning and they said they are starting to offer new deal's to existing customers, Very slowly albeit.

Has anybody on here had a new deal yet and was it any good?

Not been offered anything but this is probably in response to the fact that the base rate is going to stay at 0.5% for at least another 12 months.

A chap at work who has a NR mortgage had a new deal offered to him when he's old deal finished on 1 aug 2009 - he's got a good LTV (about 50/60%) and has been overpaying for the last couple of years ...... i think he got a 5.19% 2 or 5 year fixed.

Another friend, who is negative equity, was told recently that NR are unable to offer another product for the time being and they have been reverted to SVR for the time being.
