Barclays loan APR price match and beat rate by £1 per monthly payment

I dont think its widely advertised but Barclays have a price match on loan APR's. I had just been accepted for a 7.9% Tesco loan and rang my bank to increase my overdraft so i could pay for the car till the money came through. The lady put me through to the loan department who conducted their own application and informed me that they would beat Tesco by £1 per payment ( loan was over 5 years) which saved me £60!!!!!! I just have to send them a copy of the acceptance letter from tesco. i was very happy! not sure if its just for Barclays customers but i dont think so. the money was in my account 1 hour later saving a lot of time waiting to post forms send proof of income etc. :T
