I wanna get pre-released tickets

Hi
I go to a lot of gigs and concerts. Normally a few times a month in Manchester but often I struggle to get tickets for some bands because touts seem to buy them in bulk and shove them on ebay.
My mate said to join a fan club but some bands charge for this which isn't money saving plus I don't want to get loads of emails cluttering up my mailbox. Is there a free site that tells you things or the codes for booking. I normally go to indie bands e.g. zutons, kooks, oasis etc.
