Tesco Car insurance

Anyone got Tesco Car insurance?

Paid for mine in a lump sum prior to bankruptcy. Is it worthwhile writing to tell them I am bankrupt and ensure they know about it.

Anyone had any experiences with tesco?

Check your policy paperwork.....you may not need to inform them BUT if there is a bankruptcy clause then your policy may be voided if you dont inform

although...most insurers will insist on upfront payments for insurance when they know your bankrupt...because you've already paid up front this year it may be an issue when you come to renew

  • Hi there

I have tesco insurance, car and contents. Cant find anything in the small prints but I am still a bit concerned........ I hate the thought of ringing them up unnecessarily but the thought of not being covered if anything happens is worse!

Will give them a call.... in the meantime... is anyone outthere have any knowledge of this?

Thanks everyone. Lets hope they are one of the br friendly ones!

It is best to be safe than sorry. A lot of firms use a pertinant information clause. In other words your BR could affect whether they insure you or not as it is pertinant info but they won't ask you directly it is up to you to provide the info. that may affect you insurance. If you don't inform them and make a claim they may refuse it as you didn't tell them about your BR.

My God that was rambling, not even sure it made sense, think I need bed.
