Hi looking for batteries size C ( i think they are also known as LR14). Has anyone seen any on special offer.
Am also considering rechargeables batteries.
They are to be used on the front door bell. Are rechargeables suitable for this?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I haven't seen any C-size batteries on offer, but Poundland often have quality alkaline batteries mixed in with the cheapo types.
A doorbell isn't suitable for using rechargeables with as it is seldom-used, and rechargeables tend to lose their charge over time. Alkaline batteries will last for ages and be able to handle the load put on them by the solenoid in the bell.
You can also get adapters to use AA batteries in equipment that takes C-sized batteries. Check eBay for those.
