Might be heading that way at the weekend. I need a bathroom light and cant find one I like.

I don't mean the likes of B&Q etc but independent places with a good stock/selection or places that do unusual lights.

Any ideas?

There are several dedicated lighting showrooms in Edinburgh:

CP Lights is b the Ocean Terminal - www.cplights.com
Cotterell Light centre is on the causewayside on the south side of the city - www.cotterell-lightcentres.co.uk
Ottimo is on Queen street in the centre of town but is not great for parking at. - http://www.ottimolighting.com/
Designer lights is also in the city centre and again is not easy to park close to - http://www.designer-lights.com/showroom/

There are probably several more but I have never been to any others.

    Hope this helps.

have you tried Pagazzi, aliasjojo? I'm thinking you're up alyth/blair way, might save you some petrol if you pop into pagazzi on the way past to the perth dual.;) It's tucked into an end on the Kingsway retail park, used to be a fabrics shop at one time.iirc.

We got our kitchen lights there, I still really like them years later. They have tons of different lights in the shop.
There's a branch in Jenners in Edinburgh and others in Falkirk and Livingston too.

We bought our lights in the Falkirk branch recently and really like them. Their coffee machine did a nice cappucino as well.

There is also a small independent lighting store on Grahams Road opposite the entrance to the retail park where Pagazzi is.

Thanks very much peeps. The Falkirk branch of pagazzi is nearest to SIL so that's handy. Never heard of this place before but will pay a visit. Thanks too for the Edinburgh links, I'm trying to squeeze in an Ikea visit so will pay those a visit too.

*goes off to make OH some tea and toast to soften him up*

Btw ailuro, we're further north past Inverness. :)

Pagazzi is brilliant! Find it hard to leave the shop without buying anything!! My in laws went to litecraft in Glasgow (Kinning Park) fairly recently, not been myself but they seemed impressed with it. http://www.litecraft.co.uk/about/glasgow.asp

EDIT: Just realised you didn't ask for Glasgow!! Must go and find my glasses!!!

Lol, Glasgow isn't a million miles away so we might end up there anyway. :)

    Thanks.
