How quickly do wages go into Co-op account ?

Options
After reading on here that sometimes it is a bit slower for withdrawals/debit card payments to go through a co-op cashminder account I am wondering if it takes a little longer for your wages to appear into the account than normal too.

Anyone any experience of this ?

I guess I'm just a little paranoid as tomorrow will be the first month my wages are paid into my new cashminder account and there's this little voice in the back of my mind telling me that "you cocked up when giving payroll your new account details". :D

So if it isn;t there in the morning it may be a case where it is a bit slower than a regular account, or that little voice was right.

Thanks.

Mine went in the day I was paid. No difference between my old account and the Co op.

Me and my OH both have our wages paid into our cashminder, they turn up exactly when they're supposed to.

Normally mine are on my account within 10 seconds of leaving my employers....

what I am really waiting for, is for my wages to appear on my Co-op account, before I'm actually paid....

As far as I've been able to ascertain...there is absolutely NO difference , timewise, between a 'regular' account...whatever that is...and a basic account.

The only differences beig the sorts of 'services' [ie, cons] a bank offers regular account customers, compared to basic account customers.

[overdraughts, cheque books, fancy debit cards,e tc]

in fact, apart from the tinternet and a handy electric bank card...there is really no difference between what I have with Co-op Cashminder.....and what I had as a current account holder with Barclays, 30 years ago!
[back then, one had to 'apply' for an authorised overdraught...and convince a Captain Mainwaring bank manager why one needed it....and it was likely only for £20 anyways.]

Perhaps folk have been blinded by the services offered in the past, to what a bank account really SHOULD be?
