How about an option to put the ISBN in for books?
  • Thanks for all the feedback folks, its wonderful stuff. Keep it coming if you have any more!

One question (a bit cheeky), Are the top three auto selected shopbots

the cheapest or did they pay you more to be there? (So should we 'select

    all' ?)

That's a very fair question and am glad you have asked! The top 3 are based on our own research of the best prices returned, and we intend to make that mroe obvious in the design., These will be rechecked by us on a fairly regular basis and amended as necessary.

No one can pay to be a top pick (or indeed appear at all) on MSE, read http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/funding if you have any questions about this.

Really great tool- thanks! I searched for season 1 of Fringe-DVD. I challenged it a bit by only putting in "fringe 1" as some sites call them seasons or series etc...

The tabs for the different search engines results is lots better than say opening lots of new windows! Shame results cannot just go into a table that is easy to read at a glance to see best price shown anywhere but guess that would be impossible due to other stuff get picked up in search!! My only suggestion is if anything could be done to increase the window "viewing box" size that would be great as I spent a bit of time using my scroll bars on the screen view to look at all the info as well as scroll bar in box. Obviously not as much time as using all the shopbots seperately though. Liking the funky graphic super shop bot-could call him SEB, shop expert bot...anyhow...

    1. Price terrier came up with prices all in diffenret order- not the chheapest at the top like others seemed to?
    2. Price Runner didn't come up with any prices when they should have been able to find something...
    3. Wow- £46.24 to £29.99 from BangCD... this ONLY showed up on Foundem surprisingly. Most of the others were Amazon's £34.98 but guess that is because they are huge and pay out lots to shopbots!

    Hope something here helps.
Green and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!

  • Hi,

tried looking for a cd using all sites. was a little slow but to be expected with all of them selected.

It would be nice if the arrows changed colour when you got to the end of the list of sites on the results page. Because it's slightly slow to scroll the list of sites left and right I had to click a few times to be sure there were no more.

For some reason i have no formatting on the Twenga page, looks like it didn't load the CSS. That may just be me though, the other sites worked fine.

  • Hello, again.

    Hey!!! I'm REALLY impressed.

When a fellow MSEer had a query on the availability of cheap online Bicarbonate of Soda, out of pure curiosity I put it into the Megashopbot, under 'Other' in the search box.

On first trying this tool a number of days ago, I thought it was just for Books and the like. But the search results showed loads of suppliers.

    Why didn't you tell us?

I'm going to have fun finding all sorts of things. We're planning to replaster the bathroom after night classes in doing it (we must be mad!)

I'm going to hunt for trowels and floaters...and allsorts now!

    Cheers m'dears :T
    Mirror, mirror, on the wall.
I am my mother after all!
  • I think you'll generally find floaters in the toilet :)
