Right so I don't need to go shopping for a year as I have sorted out the food & done inventory! :rotfl:
I have ingredients bought with good intentions but no idea what to do with:
MILLET GRAIN
COUSCOUS
BULGAR WHEAT
PUMPKIN SEEDS.
Now I didn't find some extremely ancient & very sprouty spuds in the bottom of the pantry.....honest
I found a bag of spuds that need using fairly immediatly. What can I do with them & freeze iyswim.
Also loads of carrots. How can I freeze them? Do I need to cook them/blanch them?
I also have amongst other delights, 16 packets of iced gems, 5 packets of flavoured rice & something frozen that I previously cooked but didn't label  :rotfl:
Oh also have the following I need to use up, need some good recipes:
STONED DATES
GROUND ALMONDS
FLAKED ALOMNDS
I have lots of basic baking ingredients. Apart from golden syrup. Need to buy sme of that cos its yummy!
Thank you all!!!!

Hi manicdays,
Well done for sorting out your inventory. :T I'm trying to work up the energy to go through my freezer and cupboards.
The replies on these threads might help you to use up some of the things you've found:
Cous cous - sweet or savoury - ideas please!?
Bulgar, crushed, cracked wheat
Pumpkin and sunflower seeds - what to do with them?
Can I freeze carrots?

Stuff the dates with some almond flakes, cream cheese, then wrap in a slice of bacon and bake for a gorgeous starter.0

One of my children's favourites is Roman Sweets - make a slit in a whole date along its long axis. Stuff with almonds (we use whole, but I'm sure flaked will do just as well. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon.
