Well after all the helpful advice I made a start today.
I phoned my bank CC and threatened to pay it off (switch it to a life of balance card) and cancel it, (idle threat) and they offered me a loan. Asked if they could offer me a lower rate but they wouldn't.
I don't seem to be very persuasive.
Found £100 of bank charges already and thats just in the last 6 months, should I look through the last 6 years???? All of them only apx £100 over for under a week. I know I have had some past one refunded before so will be tricky working out what they owe me. Was going to phone them tomorrow, any tips? Dont really fancy annoying them buy sending the "Preliminary approach for repayment" letter before I even ask.
One of my cards current balance is going to be 5.9% for 6 months through a lucky offer I spotted.
However June is a five weeks before payday month and I noticed today there are 3 birthdays at work and one leaving, thats £20! I'm not going to her leaving supper that'll be another £10 at best.
Oh dear.

I think you may be better on the card as more flexible compared to a loan.Thought I saw the light at the end of the tunnel....Then got hit by a train! :A

~Send the letter in the forum asking for details of all charges for the last 6 years. When you get the statements you will be able to check through and see which ones have been refunded and which have not. Mark them off with a highlighter and then add them up. Good luck. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

My bank have my statements for the last 6 sixs viewable online.
Your right brranger, I gave up on that idea as I think just snowballing will work better, so I was annoyed that they tried to palm me off with a loan.0 -
Can you print them out. What i did was I numbered each debit and credit that matched like 1 and 1, 2 and 2, and highlighted the rest so that I could see exactly what was left. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Well the 5.9% for 6 months only brings me one month closer to my DFD but it's a start!
Think I'd better ask them for a run down as 6 years of BS's would eat alot of trees!0 -
