Help With Debt Relief?

I'm wanting to start a debt relief order and was told before i could i needed to contact all of my creditors and get some updated balances. I contacted 1 of them and was told they'd send me a balance out, 3 weeks later i still haven't received anything from them so contacted them yet again on monday and was told then that they don't send out balances only tell them over the phone as the balance changes from day to day. I've tried ringing the CCCS's bankruptcy helpline for help for the past 4 days now but just can't through at all. Can anyone offer any advice? is there any other way i can get my creditors to send me my balance through the post? only i need proper paperwork from these people before i can start my order and i need to start it asap.....thanks.

You could send off for a copy of your credit file. Did you get a credit file form after your appointment?I am a Debt Counsellor that works for the CCCS and have specific permission from Martin, to post on these boards to try and help those in debt. It’s worth a shot, hopefully they will respond. I would recommend that you keep trying over the phone as well.I am a Debt Counsellor that works for the CCCS and have specific permission from Martin, to post on these boards to try and help those in debt. Thank you. Don't they by law have to send me a balance though?0

Make sure you don't tell them that you are going for a DRO or they will be very difficult with you.0

Hi,
So long as your not too close to your 15k limit then it is ok to over estimate the balance to make sure the debt is fully included.
There is no penalty for over estimating and its far less hassle than contacting all your creditors, which is the last thing I would want you to do if you were my client.
