Does anyone know for certain one way or the other?
This link has the model at £412 inc, I think without the freeview option.
However it does show a side view which is very useful - not a very deep tv at all - 425mm

The link shows the 408D NOT the 409TQX. The 409 appears to be hd ready but without the freeview.0 -
thanks for that - I followed original post link and was led to the 408 - did try under the 409tqx with same website and it went to the 408. Can only think same happened to OP.

Just to let you all know, the original TV, the 32" HD Ready slimline TV is excatly that.
It will support 1080i and does have HDMI, its a european version of a TV in the US that basically slims down a normal CRT but comes with HD technology.
It was originally rumoured to be released for about £350, but seems to be closer to the £500 mark.
Its been given mixed reports, but over all seems favourable really, I myself will look at getting one if and when it comes down to about £400.

Well mine arrived today (ordered using the affiliate link to get the £20 off). It is the digital version and I'm very impressed. The digital guide is much nicer than my old freeview box and the picture is bright and vibrant. Now I'm going to get the cables to connect my Media Centre box and I'll have a lovely setup at a much cheaper price than a LCD or plasma. Then when SED comes along I won't feel so bad about replacing it.
Cheers,

It seems mad doesn't it, that with CRT still be a far better viewing choice than LCD or Plasma, that manufactureres won't produce them.
Anybody know where I can find one of these babies now?0
