what are the implications if any if your mortgage paperwork isn`t ready in time for your entry date.

I presume by your reference to an entry date that you are buying in Scotland ? If your Solicitor is not in receipt of all documentation in time to satisfy the entry date then there is a risk that you could face financial penalties. Suggest you discuss with your solicitor to check what is missing and if, as above, this is your mortgage offer chase your lender or broker sharpish (pushing the fact that you have a deadline of the entry date).0
