Yep. Fox canned it a couple years back, obviously not enough airtime for Futurama with all those other quality shows they have....mmm....

However after the successful DVD sales of Family Guy & Futurama they have supposedly commissioned 3 feature length straight to DVD episodes, with Bender to the fore!!

Better than nothing I suppose.

Not even in production I'm afraid A few websites quote Matt Groening (early May) as saying:

MG: We're going to do four of them, straight to DVD. And as we speak, I'm exchanging e-mails and ideas with David X. Cohen and Ken Keeler, both of whom worked on the show from the very beginning. Right now we're trying to figure out whether to do a giant epic, or separate crazy movies, or what. But I wager that Bender will be featured prominently.

There are also rumours about resurrecting the series after the successful return of Family Guy, but personally I feel the 4 DVDs will be all we get.

In response to an earlier q there are 4 series of futurama with no plans to make any more. However there are many episodes in each series (3/4 discs) and you can buy it in a complete box set for £60. I wish this included series 4 of family guy but you can watch series 5 free online anyway
