Digital Camera for taking pictures of clothes and fabrics

Hi all,Can anyone recommend a Digital Camera that will be capable of taking good quality, close-up pics of garments and fabrics. I want to import some garments from abroad and will be asking a friend who lives localy to take close-up and full-length photos. Some of these garments may have heavy emporidery (like Indian Sarees) so I'd like to be as sure as possible that what I'm seeing is what I'm getting.I just want to get a good idea of what the garments will look like in the flesh and would appreciate some advice to choose a cheap digital camera that would do this.Thanks.

Any good quality digital camera will meet your needs if it has a "macro" facility.
Expect to pay up to £150, buy one with a recognised "camera" name - Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Minolta, Olympus etc. Go for 5 megapixels or more to give good definition.
I've got a Nikon - that will focus down to about 2 inches; if anything, its performance is even better on close-ups than on scenes !0
