Co-operative membership.

Options
Is anyone else a member of Co-op? I am just wondering how good it is, and whether it is worth switching where I shop from Tesco to Co-op.

Also, I have a Smart Save with Co-op, how do I link that to my membership card so that I earn points on my savings?

TIA :)

re: switching from Tescos. For shopping at co-op food stores you get 1 point per £1 spent. Value of 1 point depends on how well the coop has done shown on the website 1 point for June 09 = 2p

Link shows how points are awarded across coop businesses

Personally I'd say go for it as I don't shop at the coop generally, but pick up points here and there mainly from coop travel and coop insurance when they offer the best value.

Also note this opend up the option of getting the coop members credit card 1% cashback in Coop food stores & 0.5% elsewhere.

I pick up the points from when I shop at co-op.
You do get some vouchers in the post sometimes as well..
  • Co-op is very expensive for items that are not on offer - although some of their offers are great. I use it for selective shopping - the offers and nothing else.
