I can afford my repayments - but would like them to be smaller!

    I guess so, looks like there's not a lot I can do to speed this process up. When it gets to early October I'll start asking around for 0% or low rate life-of-balance deals - that's probably the only thing left (and yes, agreed on the stop spending thing, that is an absolute given!).

    I was really hoping to be debt free by 30, but that's 12 months away, so it's looking like debt free at 31!
    In and out of debt since 2001. Old dogs CAN learn new tricks.

    Ouch, spending on a 0% card, that is a toughie. You cant pay off the 16.9% til the 0% is done.

    I agree, there is little you can do in terms of lowering interest, just wait for good offers and grab them. Is virgin/MBNA not an option for a 0% card?

    The other option remember is to increase repayments, sure you want them down but as the snowball will tell you it costs you interest. The higher the repayment the less interest you send up paying. Can you increase your income / lower outgoings?
    Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
