but do i just brown whole chicken first, plonk in SC with veggies and chicken stock?

If I'm cooking a whole chicken, I just put it in. If I'm using chicken pieces, I brown them first.
There is no rhyme or reason why I do it that way round, it's just the way I do it~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
