How do you do Chicken Casserole in SC?

silly question i know!

but do i just brown whole chicken first, plonk in SC with veggies and chicken stock?

what does everyone else recommend?

    I'd be probably brown the chicken first. If you look for crockpot recipes on the internet, you'll find some great ones for chicken casserole.

    If I'm cooking a whole chicken, I just put it in. If I'm using chicken pieces, I brown them first.

    There is no rhyme or reason why I do it that way round, it's just the way I do it :o
