Just make sure the computer meets the requirements - needs to be pretty high spec (my daughter actually bought a new one for this!!)What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Thanks Lugh_Chronain for the links. Have you used 365.game.co.uk are they an ok company?
Jane Blackford her laptop is 18 months old its an HP Pavillion DV6000, its the white limited edition one they brought out towards the end of 2007 - I just assumed it would be ok, could you tell me how to find out as I havn`t a clue?
Many thanks for any advice you can give.0 -
I haven't used the Sims 3, but from past experience (and I'm no expert, I'll tell you that now), I think a lot of general laptops would struggle to run the Sims 3 properly as I'm guessing you'd probably need a laptop that's built for gaming...I could be wrong, and to be fair to my lovely little Lenovo Laptop, it has played computer games when it's not supposed to be able to, but for me at least, putting the Sims 3 in it at this stage in its life (almost 4 years old and on its way out) it'd probably finish it off. lol.
If you're going to get the Sims 3, it'd probably work better on a PC, but laptops are catching up so fast nowadays, who knows!0 -
i bought it and it did not work on my lappy , well it worked but then crashed
there is a website that tests the requirements but i cannot remember the name
i think its 'run it' .com0 -
It may well work

There is supposed to be a tool on the EA website that will analyse if your computer will work with it, I used it a few weeks ago to check my daughter's but can't find it now - probably a good idea to go on the HP forums as one of the links suggests and find out, but you may be OK!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Thanks for the replies, it never occured to me that it may not work! may now leave it for an Xmas pressie so I can find out more and it will give me a little more time.0

Sorry for not getting back sooner.
I've not used 365 Games before so can't comment. I've have noticed though that many users on Hot UK Deals have though and appear to be reliable for them. I'm sure you could make an enquiry on here too as I'm certain a number of people here will have used 365 Games and should be able to help.0
