Boots Advantage points and 3 for 2 xmas gifts?

Can anyone tell me if you can use advantage points to pay when you get 3 for 2 xmas gifts at Boots?
Have been saving my points up but wasn't sure if they would give you the 3 for 2 offer when paying with points.

last xmas i did this payed with my point on a 3 for 2 at boots i had been saving my point all year and tryed to pay at the till and didnt have any problem
