Need some advice! Please help

Hi,

I am 23, this is the first time I have admitted to anyone that I have a problem with my debt. I began getting into debt at university because of a gambling problem.

I have graduated from university however I have recently lost my job and have 3 credit cards maxed out and a £1500 overdraft which is at its limit.

The credit cards are Vanquis - £2000, Barclays - £500 and Capital one £200.

I have also taken out a payday loan of £450.00 which I wish I hadnt taken out now because I am no longer in work.

I have been making the minimum payments on my credit cards but I am worried that I will not be able to make the next ones as I am out of work. Has anyone got any advice for me?

Hi If you have a gambling problem then you need help. There is a gambling support thread on these forums, why not drop in and introduce yourself.
In the meantime can you put up your SOA so we can see whats the best way forward for you.
Good luck with beating your addiction.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

Hi and welcome to the forums

As others have said we need to see your SOA (income & expenditure) to be able to advise you.

However if you have no income (other than benefits) then you will be unlikely to be able to meet your debt repayments. It may be that you will need to offer token payments to your creditors until your situation improves (this does impact on your credit rating though) - we can advise and give you template letters to send to your creditors if this is the case once we have seen your SoA.
