oh, ive just done a bit of research and are lingual braces an option? my upper left hand teeth are misaligned and i've got a huge complex about this (photographs of me are always 'side on right hand side' shots!! ). How expensive are these and how long is the process? I understand for adults it can take upto 3 years....0

if you look at the first set of pictures on this webpage, (in particular the one on the left showing the 'before'). Well, if you look at her top teeth - the left 3 teeth, it shows a tooth slightly sticking out and the one next to it inverted - that's what my top left hand side teeth are like! am i better going for a veneer on the inverted tooth, or going for the inman aligner?! thank yyooouuuu!!0 -
All of the above are valid treatment options (with the addition of invisalign/clear step braces).
Veneer preperation requires the removal of perfectly healthy tooth tissue, so is more destructive than the other options! If these teeth are strongly stained or have physical defects that make them unsightly, veneers may be the best option. If your teeth are extremely misaligned, than treatment solely consiting of veneers may not be enough to achieve the aesthetic resuult that you are after.
You have to factor in cost too, Orthodontic treatment can be costly, and while veneers aren't cheap, they will be cheaper than orthodontic treatment (unless you go to a cosmetic specialist that will charge an extremely high price) and take less time.
Your dentist can best guide you as he will be able to examine your needs, and any recommended treatment will depend of the extent of misalignment and rotation of teeth.Try to imagine nothing ever existed...0
