Get rid of the rings on carpet from sofa or table

im sure many people have the problem that when you've positioned a sofa or table or anything heavy on the carpet for long period of times, it leaves a ring or patch where the legs or base was on the carpet because of the weight.
a tip to eliminate this is to put a few ice cubes on the e.g. rings, let them melt, return 20 minutes later and they wont look so bad.
apart from the wet patch which you can dry off. with a hair dryer.
Give it a go, would love to hear the feedback!

Or to prevent them, stand each leg on a large (clean) jam jar lid or similar! It speads the weight out over a larger area of carpet, so the pressure is lessened and it doesn't squash the carpet as much.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

or just move the furniture backwards and forwards by a few inches at regular intervals and the carpet will spring back up of it's own accord
I do this often with my coffee table0
