SOA advice?

Hello

I'm due to go to court for bankruptcy on the 6th of November and am terrified. The CAB have agreed to look over my forms but I wondered if anyone could give me some advice on my income/outgoings? I'm worried i've under/over estimated, or forgotten something?

I know it makes no difference in the eyes of the court but I'm only in this mess as my ex left me for another woman and as a result our home was repossessed.

Any advice would be appreciated,
HRD:confused:

    Thank you for the replies.
I am a single Mum with one teenage son.
My car is paid for and is worth approx £1400, although to be honest that's probably being over optimistic.

The £45 for elec also includes gas. I know it's low, and I've just come to the end of a fixed deal so expecting it to go up. But as I don't know yet how much it will increase by I can only put down my current payment surely?

Would I be able to keep the internet as my son uses it for school work? His school often expect homework to be submitted by email, then there's research for him to do, work to type, etc.

Child related expenses are Duke of Edinburgh and activities offered by school that have costs attached. Would this be allowed?

I don't have accidental damage cover on contents insurance.

    Thanks again

I don't have accidental damage cover on contents insurance. you will need to get a quote for it then asap...difficult to replace things should you have an accident once bankrupt as you've no access to credit

    Thanks again

    Just a few thoughts

  • Well you could increase your groceries to around £400, make your child expenses £20, the internet could be argued for study though I don't know if they will allow the amount you have. Do you wear suits for work which need dry cleaning? What is your amount for electric/gas, £45 does seem really low? Clothes could be £80. Does your son have school dinners? Do you not have to pay car parking? Do you need travel money for your son?

    Just a few thoughts.

Child expences can be £5 per week I believe. Add presciptions, and dental. You should be able to keep internet, but it seems a bit high? I think food is too low, should be more like £300 and school dinners on top, £40. With a bit of persuasion, you may be able to avoid an IPA altogether.

Oops, me too late as well.....

Make sure you get breakdown cover as well. Do you have any professional fee's to pay? Do you wear suits to work? If so add £10 dry cleaning.

Hopefully that has put together every ones suggestions for you. If you play with the figures and put it up again for a check.
