Phone a call centre and speak to someone in south east asia?Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'
Remember to say thank you to people who help you out!
Also, thank you to people who help me out.0 -
They are doing what the Pension Service did a few years ago. Customers wont notice the difference really, apart from speaking to people with a strange accent (to them) now and again! Agree it's quite ridiculous though and a waste of money.0

This will probably drive effeciencies, as they will have the same number of staff available to answer calls, staff will in effect become a virtual call centre meaning that regional surges are handled better.0

Is this going to affect all BDC's? Did they give any details about which offices will be dedicated call centres and when they are planning to do this?
Just asking as I am waiting on Newport BDC to get back to me with a start date (if it will ever come) and just wondering if this will affect any potential job offer.0 -

Newport BDC are one of the offices that will be a Contact Centre, it affects all BDCs in that at the moment they all have telephony teams who answer or field benefit enquires, these telephony teams will disappear. So in the BDCs moving to CCs everyone will start being a telephony agent and in all the others everyone will be Benefit Processer (obviously management teams excepting).
This (apparantly) comes into effect from next Monday."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -

Sorry pressed thanks instead of quote, is this for a twilight shift (4-8pm)? If not then its highly unlikely you will get placed in Newport BDC because all recruitment is now in Jobcentres only (excepting the twilight hours pilot vacancies)"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
