Hi all,
Just a very quick one.
I am going to inform my OR of a slight increase in wage (which doesnt take me over the £99 surplus allowed) but im wondering if just an e-mail wouls suffice or do I have to send it in writing??
Like I said, quick one.
Thanks.

Email. Get it over and done with quickly.
I would email "asking" that you have had a small increase of £20pm (what ever it is) and would that small amount mean you have to inform them officially?0 -
Hi skylight.
Thanks for the info.
Much appreciated.:T0 -
Hi..I've recently emailed the RTLU regarding overtime payments.
It took a week to get a reply, but in the end..
whilst they are grateful for the information via email, it appears they will only make adjustments following receipt of an IPOQ.....so if you have one, fill it out and send...better still, fill it out, scan and email it...this is quite acceptable to my RTLU.
I'd sent mine off over a month ago, and my ''case handler'' obviously hadn't had sight of it...a reason for not getting ED yet?
The current postal issues mean they can make allowances for time delays....providing one drops them an email first, to tell them it's on its way.No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
Hi alastairq,
Thanks a lot for that information.
I will await a reply and go from there.
Do I get an IPOQ form from my OR or can I get one online??
Thanks.0 -
IPOQ for you'd have to email or ring the OR & they'll send you one out...We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

I phoned my OR case officer to inform him of my recent payrise

Tbh I've always phoned him.........he's probably sick ta death of me
No doubt he's pleased to have (now) passed my case to the RTLU
Funny....... I never thought of emailing him - oh well, too late now eh?

For some reason I cant bring myself to ring my OR??
Dont know why? Strange really because I will speak to anybody but I just cant bring myself to do it??
I would much rather have no contact what-so-ever.
It might be because I had to divulge so much to this person over the phone that ive never met (more than ive told even my closest friends) that I find it a little strange.
Maybe its a bloke thing?? Dunno really?:rolleyes:0 -

Hmm i've been the same...not sure if its a bloke thing or not really
I just always thought of my case officer as a big scary ogre (in the brown stuff will back me up here!) its a little awkward I know & you half expect them to laugh at you saying "oh no not him again" BUT they're only a person at the end of the day doing a job day in day out...so not that scary really

Its funny because she (my OR) was really sympathetic towards the end of our conversation on the phone.
It was very awkward at first and I found it a little intrusive but like I said, she was very friendly and polite so I dont know whta my problem is???
Your right phil, its just a person with a job to do and they hear very similar stories from various people every day.:D0
