What is this all about?[/title]
Amazon varies the price of goods, yet often when the price is low, the goods sell out at speed. There's a new free tool that tells you when Amazon reduces the price of your goods, so you buy at the perfect moment.
Simply tell Zeezaw the max price you want to pay for any Amazon item, and e-mails you when the price drops to that amount. The site does not collect any of your details or passwords, it just works through your Amazon Wishlist.
UPDATE 21 Oct 09
Zeezaw is struggling due to high levels of traffic at the moment. If you have problems, come back and try again later.

Cut the cost of Xmas

Zeezaw also lets you track other folks’ wishlists; just ask them what email they use for Amazon, and it’ll locate the list a good way to work out what gifts they may want for Christmas.

- Step 1. Create an Amazon wishlist. To get a wishlist, just go shopping on Amazon, and when you fancy something, click the ‘add to wishlist’ button (left hand side). Not too arduous a task!
- Step 2. Sign up for Zeezaw. Now just sign up for a Zeezaw account, and tell it the email address you use for Amazon. Add a target price for everything, and wait for the email alerts. [/FONT]
- Step 3. Check comparison sites. When you get an alert, it's still worth checking the price on a comparison site, as where Amazon prices go others tend to follow. Read Cheap online shopping for a full guide.

Have used it before, great idea.
Perhaps it's already mentioned on these boards?

Think I'd just prefer to use a shopping comparison site and buy it at the price I want then and there rather than wait (and hope) that it will come down.
But each to their own!

Surely if you just pu the items in your basket & save for later, you can log on, press Basket and it will tell you of any price changes.
I also use find-DVD, find-CD, find-book etc and they send me an e-mail when an item is below my pricewatch price - the difference being they check a multitude of stores including Amazon.

Amazon sometimes do crazy offers, so I do find this is likely to get things cheaper than a comparision site, and I have over 1000 items on my wishlist so can't keep them all in my basket - used to do this with a few but I think this new service is fab. Going to take me forever to go through the whole wishlist though!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

There are a few sites which list the big discounts at Amazon as they appear - for example, Discount Sorcerer has a whole bunch of stuff currently on offer at less than 10% of their original price. That site does an email newsletter too which features the best offers, if you're quick enough.0
