Agree with gatita - Tesco's own is good for me. Does contain SPF but doesn't give a figure. Anyone know who makes it?0

I have read that SPF in moisturisors is not enough to protect your skin in the sun. You would have to lather it on and leave it visible (white layer) to actually do anything. Be careful of treating your moisturisor as a sun screen if it has SPF - it is not!Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!0 -
for the last months I've been using Allergenics cream as a moisturiser. I get it for a good price at Boots, it lasts me ages and takes good care of my skin. Having a mixed type skin with tendency to acne and very sensitive, I've tried a lot of different products for my face, and I must say this is one of the best I've ever used.
I also use honey for a facial from time to time. It's inexpensive and a very good moisturiser, and if you also want a really good scrub just mix some honey with some sugar and there you are!'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0 -
You want to spend money on something whose effect can never be proven? Keep spending, you like the gorgeous scents of the expensive lotions, and the makers love your gullibility.
If you want to maintain a soft skin, supple and clear, you will use either Nivea or Olay. They've been around forever, and you will not, I am totally positive, gain anything at all from spending on much lovelier smelling potions.
The very best is Vaseline, but you have to be sleeping alone to use that! Your skin will look marvellous[Uin the morning, flawless.
Unless you have some affliction that prevents it working.0 -
The best one is ASTRAL but finding it is another matter, not many shops seem to sell it these days, but it's not very expensive and makes your face feel lovely and smooth.Official DFW Nerd 071/£2 saver=£10

This is interesting as the reason I want a cream with an SPF is that I spend a fair bit of time outside (lots of walking). If I go on a day long hike and it's summer and sunny I will slap on a very high factor sun cream on all parts, but at other times I just think that I've got the SPF moisturiser on so I'm ok.
I have the kind of skin that burns quite easily, then goes a little bit brown and in summer have a freckled face. I've noticed that since the walking I've got some freckles all year round and I keep getting the odd comment (you look healthy, have you been on holiday)........so maybe I do need something a bit stronger!0 -
I've tried Boots No7 Uplifting day cream for the last few days and I have to say that my skin doesn't feel as nice as it does with Lidl's Cien Anti Wrinkle Cream, this is lovely stuff, soft and rich and feels expensive.
I understand that you maybe saying Oh I don't fancy that cheap old stuff when you've been buying really expensive stuff but at that price you could give it a go and dump it if you don't like it.
The only stuff I would switch to if I could afford it is Germaine de Capuccini.
What's wrong with freckles I think they're lovely.Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

I was going to suggest this too. It's the best cream I've used in years!
There are two kinds. One for over 20 yr old skin and one for over 40 yr old skin. I have the younger one and I bought my Mum the older one, we're bothe really pleased with it. It goes on lovely and really does make your skin feel lovely afterwards.Just run, run and keep on running!0
