I was clearing my kitchen cupboards out and I found one of these in the back - I was given it before I moved into into my first home two years ago and completely forgot I had it.
It's now on the counter awaiting a good clean-up and first use, but I wonder if anyone can tell me what the 'beater' attachment is for? That's the white plastic one in the picture here. I'm sure the name must be self-explanatory - is it to mix batters and things?
Thanks in advance.

I have one of these - they are fab.
AFAIK the beater is for anything like sauces or cream etc - anything you either want to beat air into or get creamy. TBH - I've never used mine as I just use the chopper blade.
I'm on my third - the first was a genuine Culinaire one which was fab but Mr TM dropped and broke the bowl. My second was a cheapy version and nothing like the Culinaire one - didn't chop anything like as well so I gave it away and I've recently bought another mainly to chop the vast quantities of onions I now use - so the kids don't find them as easily0 -
i've got one of these as well!! Like Ticklemouse says, they're brill for chopping onions up really really tiny....and the best thing was,i only paid 25p for it on a carboot about a month ago, and it was still in all its original plastic bags!! :j0
