Do you have dreams/nightmares about the wedding?

Hi guys,

For the second time in a week I have had a horiffic dream that has been so vivid and frightening I have been worrying where the hell it has come from!

Me and OH have been on our flight to Mexcio for our honeymoon, there is a huge bang and the plane shakes and then we nose dive into the ocean  With me telling OH not to worry and there is nothing we can do, and holding hands. Just thinking about that bit makes me want to cry!

I looked what it meant up and the result was actually rather interesting! "To dream that a plane crashes, suggests that you have set overly high and unrealistic goals for yourself. Your goals may be too high and are impossible to realize. You are in danger of having it come crashing down"

So are any of you B2B's having the same thing? With weird vivid dreams cropping up?

The brain is such a weird thing, I wonder if I am going to die or if the interpretation is real (latter is I do believe closer to the truth ha ha)

It's gotta be the latter for you hun lol!! ;)

Not had any weird dreams yet, not that I can remember anyway! x
Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...
  • H2b has had a dream that he's got to the venue and realised that he'd forgotten to buy the suits. I asked him if I was annoyed in the dream. He said luckily he woke up before he had to tell me!! Lucky boy.

I've had lots of breaking up dreams - that I get all the planning done and he decides to leave me!! H2b laughs at me when I tell him about these.

When we make these sort of decisions, its natural that your brain goes into overdrive at night with the things we have to plans etc. I wish I could take that advice rather than just write it.

LOL - I am glad you didnt say it was the first!! :D

ETA - I reckon you will soon, whether it be rings or waistcoats - mwah ha ha ha ha
  • Trying Really Hard - That is soooo sweet H2B dreams things like that, shows it is on his mind and he cares :) One day he'll not wake up and see your wrath ha ha. Bless him :D

AND BLESS YOU for having those other dreams :( Things like that are horrible, mean nothing, just somewhere well hidden are insecurities no matter how secure you are. I love the dreams of being on holiday - they're great ha ha

You are right about the mind in over time. I think so much stuff throughout the day to do with the wedding, our brains do need the downtime to sort through it all

I had a dream that it was the wedding day and I was at the registry office and needed to get dressed in the toilet there, which in the dream seemed quite normal. The problem was that my best friend, who will be helping me to get ready on the day, wasn't there and I was getting more and more upset, half-dressed wandering around all the guests asking if anyone had seen her.

Another dream was that we were at the reception and I was sat with a few friends at a table about to eat, when I suddenly realised that everybody else, the other 40 guests, were about to arrive and there were no tables for them, so I had to run around looking for staff from the venue to get tables. Then I was trying to get in my hotel room but I'd lost the key, this despite the fact that we're not staying at the venue because it is a restaurant rather than a hotel, and when I did get in my flowers were there and I hated them, they were tiny, the wrong shade of pink, and carnations which I don't like, rather than roses.
  • I dream that things aren't done, like it being quarter to four and I'm still not dressed, or being at the reception and there's no food and no guests, and the latest one was that we were at church but none of H2B's family had arrived because they hadn't been able to get their car from the airport so there was no best man, we said no vows, exchanged no rings, had a 'wedding' without getting married! and the dream carried on to where I was looking through the albums still with no ring on my finger... I hate anxiety dreams!

  • :( Why oh why did I read this thread yesterday as I had the most horrific nightmare last night about the wedding?

Deep breath - its not real. I'm not going to be late by over an hour as my watch had broke and then need to call H2B to tell him I'm not going to be able to make it before the registrar has to go home. :o

The brain is a very strange thing!

Not wedding related, but my OH couldn't wake me while I was sleeping SCREAMING!!!

That's a first. It was terrifying. He thought there was something very seriously wrong with me... I think it was about an enormous spider running across my pillow. I jumped up so fast I pulled a muscle behind my knee and couldn't walk properly for 2 days...

Wedding related: it was May 2010 and I had not got to the size I should be... VERY SCARY.
  • Oh my goodness!! Some of your dreams are horrific, its sooooo haunting cos they seem so real!

Kylie - your dream where OH couldnt wake you up is terrifying! I bet he was more scared than you were!!

All the others seem to have the same gist, people not being there, not enough tables, I am going to look it up and see if they mean anything!!!

PS, I survived any horrific dreams last night - PHEW :D
