Applying for mortgage

I am in the midst of applying for a mortgage and will need to submit bank statements to the mortgage company.
The problem - I have online bank accounts and do not have paper statement. I could print it off from the Internet but the mortgage company had said they will not accept it as it must be coming from the bank. I have tried talking to my bank, but they said that as it is an online account, they could not print the statement.
Just wondering if anyone had similar experience and how you resolved it.
Thanks.

DO they want the statements to verify figures or your address?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. If it is an on line account of a high street bank you can go into a branch and get them to certify the print outs for you.
If this is not the case I would suggest asking them why they cannot accpet them if they are the only ones you have, and what they would suggest in order to resolve the problem.
Have you gone via a broker or direct?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. The online account is with a high street bank. Have tried going in to get them to print a statement, but they said they couldn't do it as it is online account. The only reason I had the online account was the higher interest rate.
I have a current account's bank statement, but it would show money being debited out. But that is only because I was moving it to online account to earn more interest.
In this day and age, where online account is getting common, how do you go about proofing your online statement?
By the way, I have gone direct.0
